Leadership Institute- Women with Purpose
Thanks to the generosity of members, parents, friends, chapters and clubs the Foundation is able to provide grants to our Fraternity, our members and in the communities where we live. These gifts allow the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation to provide the following grant programs:
Continuing Education Grant Program
Grants for continuing education are available to alumnae members who are advancing or improving their career on a part-time basis. These grants are awarded based on a class or program that will enhance an alumnae member’s ability to achieve career goals. This includes career-related seminars, and college and certificate programs. Grants are limited to $500 per grant; with a $2,000 maximum lifetime total. There is no set timetable for Continuing Education Grant Applications; apply anytime.

Sisters Income Supplement (SIS) Grants
The Sisters Income Supplement (SIS) Program provides confidential grants to sisters facing emergency financial need including, but not limited to, natural disasters, severe illness or temporary loss of income due to the death of a spouse or parent. SIS Grants are awarded to members in amounts up to a $2,000 maximum lifetime total. Since emergencies arise unexpectedly; apply anytime.

Philanthrophic Grants
The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation awards grants to individuals and organizations involved with diabetes research, summer camps for children with diabetes, the care and treatment of diabetic patients and education about the disease. Applications are due by January 31 each year. Applicants are notified by May 31.

Educational Area Housing Grants
The Foundation’s new Educational Area Grant Program provides local collegiate chapter house associations with grants for exclusively educational portions of newly constructed chapter houses or for educational related renovations of an existing chapter house. Through a locally managed fundraising campaign, donors may make tax-deductible donations directly to the Foundation, with such gifts designated for the educational portions of the construction project.

Fraternity Grants
The Foundation provides grants to our Fraternity for a variety of leadership development programs as well as programs that enhance personal growth.
- TLC (The Leadership Conference)- regional conference to train current and emerging collegiate chapter leaders.
- VLC (Volunteer Leadership Conference)- leadership training provided to Alpha Gamma Delta volunteers.
- Leadership Consultant / Leadership Advisor Program- training and travel for Alpha Gams to visit and work with collegiate chapters on leadership, scholarship and officer training.
- AlcoholEdu- an online interactive course that educates members about alcohol’s effects.
- UIFI (Undergraduate InterFraternity Institute) / LeaderShape- providing collegiate members the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills.
- Philanthropy Committee Support- for development and implementation of its healthy living program.

Leadership Institute - Women with Purpose
The Leadership Institute- Women with Purpose, originally funded through the Campaign for Alpha Gamma Delta, offers educational programming for the development and enhancement of leadership skills for Alpha Gamma Delta members and all women.
