News and Notes - spring 2007

TLC - Dallas

The 2007 Dallas TLC was held on January 26 - 28 th with approximately 79 attendees. The philanthropic activity at this conference was the making of friendship bracelets for American Diabetes Association (ADA) Camp Aurora in Ft. Worth, Texas. The bracelets will be used at summer camp for boys and girls ages 8-12 to share with new friends.

TLC - Atlanta

The 2007 Atlanta TLC was held on February 2 – 4 th with approximately 87 attendees. The philanthropic activity at this conference was also the making of friendship bracelets. These bracelets were given to the ADA of Birmingham to then be distributed to children with diabetes who participate in their School Walk for Diabetes Program.

 

TLC - Pittsburgh

The 2007 Pittsburgh TLC was held on February 9 - 11 th with approximately 118 attendees. The philanthropic activity at this conference was the making of Merwyn, the Diabetes Dragon. Merwyn is a character in a Wisdom Kit given to newly diagnosed children with diabetes from the Western Pittsburgh ADA. These kits, along with Merwyn, are used to help educate children and their parents about living with diabetes.
